I started dabbling in Poser and Bryce back in 2004, and it really opened up a whole new avenue for creativity. Many of the 3D objects you see in these scenes I created myself either in Bryce or with Rhino 3D.

For instance, take a look at the "Lute" image in the Rhino Gallery.

It shows the program interface in the background showing the polygon mesh that defines the shape of the object. It's not a perfect lute and I can't remember what the Elven Runes say around the sound-hole, but for a beginner it's not a bad mesh.

Some of the textures for the objects (such as the Faerie wings) were created in Photoshop and applied in Poser.
The Faerie wings themselves were vectored in Adobe Illustrator, and then exported to Poser as an .obj or .dwg file. In case you were wondering, the dragonfly wings were actually vectored from high resolution images of real dragonfly wings, every vein. What a job that was.

Check out "Obsession" in the Poser Gallery.

You'll notice in some of the Bryce renders I have imported some Poser "people" to be part of the scene. Hair (and sometimes clothing) is something I usually create in Photoshop, as hair often looks like a helmet in Poser 5, and clothing sometimes looks like an egg shell that doesn't fit properly.

I think what I love the best is the lighting and the way Bryce even captures the volume of objects, such as Vortigern encased inside the ruby. You can see where bryce has shown the refraction and distortion one might see inside a crystal.

CG Animation
"Temple of the North Pole"It was the first (and last) animation I ever did. At that time I had a Pentium 4 Intel and it took Bryce most of the day just to render this short video.
