Mohawk College
2001 - 2003
Special highlights & acheivements
2001
I started Graphic Design Production at Mohawk College. I had made some really great friends, it was awsome times!
In my first year I had made the Dean's Honor roll, and had also won 1st place in the $1,000.00 StoreImage Scholarship Award. In this photo I am being presented with the award by Geoff Carlson.
2002-03
I kept my grades up during 2nd year Graphic Design, even while taking 100% of my courseload, but in the final semester, an extra elective was putting me over the edge. I was very fortunate to have been exempt from it, however I didn't find out until the very last day that due to a computer error, it was listed as a fail. Without this elective I could not graduate, so after all that studying and hard work I was incredibly sad and very broken when I could not join my class at the Sanderson Centre Convocation.
2003
I didn't get discouraged, I went back and took a summer elective in Portfolio Development from Fennel Campus, and earned my diploma! I am also very grateful to have had the financial assistance of The Children’s Aid Society of Brant in supporting my education with their Endowment Fund.
2003
I was honored to receive the T. Dixon Moore Award for being Brantford’s first Crown Ward to graduate College.
2008
I was nominated for the Arthur Binkley Award. Thank you! This photo was taken at the Brantford Golf & Country Club.
